At the pretentiously named "World Forum on Enterprise and the Environment" in Oxford, Al Gore made a tub thumping appeal for world leaders to unite as they did against the nazis - see this article in the Mail. There was disappointement that not enough people attended to hear this one-sided bore, but why should people want to pay money to hear something they had heard a thousand times before?
Surely the whole point of a conference is to hear from all those who have a contribution to make.
